Proverbs 1:31
One of the pleasures of growing your own fruit is the joy of eating fruit fresh off the branch! You have the satisfaction of knowing how it was grown and the absence of chemicals. Nothing ruins the moment worse than taking a big bite only to find the remaining half of a worm! Satisfaction instantly turns to disgust and rejection.
Isn't our lives the same? While we may be pristine on the outside, we can be filled with worms on the inside! And when you realize the "true colors" of an individual, you experience the same disgust and rejection. Do you desire to be respected or rejected?
There is only one way to become delectable fruit - to be cleansed from the inside out. Can you mirror David's words "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:" (Psalms 139:23)? If not, you may be wormy fruit - ask for his forgiveness so that you may become the apple of His eye!
